Chances Offered is a curated collection of helpful resources — charities, services, tools, and organizations that give people a real chance to improve their lives. Think of it as a directory of good, vetted by a community that cares.

What belongs here?

Links to trusted platforms and organizations that offer help, services, or opportunities:

  • Charities & nonprofits — Organizations providing aid, services, or support (link to their official site or Charity Navigator profile)
  • Helpful services — Platforms where people can get assistance (free or affordable)
  • Educational resources — Free courses, tutorials, skill-building platforms
  • Financial tools — Microloans, grants, emergency assistance programs
  • Community organizations — Groups doing good work that deserve more visibility

What makes a post stand out?

  • Explain why it matters — Don’t just drop a link. Tell people who this helps and why it’s worth their attention.
  • Be specific — What does this organization or resource actually do?
  • Link to trusted sources — Official websites, Charity Navigator, GuideStar, or recognized platforms

What’s NOT allowed:

  • ❌ Direct payment links (Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle)
  • ❌ Personal email addresses, phone numbers, or home addresses
  • ❌ Unverified organizations or personal “charities”
  • ❌ MLM, affiliate marketing, or promotional schemes
  • ❌ Anything misleading, scammy, or unsafe
