🌱 Chance Points — A Quiet Thank You for Participation
Chance Points are a small thank-you for members who choose to log in and take part in the Chances.org community.
They are not about winning, competing, or keeping score.
They are simply acknowledgments.
Who Earns Chance Points
Chance Points are earned only when you are logged in.
They are attached to your account so your participation can be recognized over time.
How Chance Points Are Earned
You may receive a Chance Point when you:
- Post a Chance in the directory
- Favorite a Chance to show support
- Return to the site on another day
- Click a Chance’s link to follow through and help
Each action earns a small, single point.
Points are intentionally slow and modest.
Why Chance Points Exist
Chance Points exist to quietly say:
“Thank you for showing up.”
“Thank you for participating.”
“Thank you for supporting others.”
They help us understand what parts of the site are being used — and they help members feel seen.
What Chance Points Are Not
- They are not a competition
- They are not a ranking system
- They are not a measure of worth
- They are not required to participate
Many members never look at their points at all — and that’s perfectly fine.
In Short
Chance Points are gentle acknowledgments, not rewards.
You don’t need to chase them.
You don’t need to compare them.
They exist quietly in the background.
What matters most is the chance you give — or take — in real life.
