💚 Karma Points — A Simple Honor System
Karma Points are a gentle, honor-based way to acknowledge kindness on Chances.org.
They are available to everyone, including visitors who are not logged in.
How Karma Points Work
Karma Points live only in your browser.
They are not tied to your name, email, or account.
Think of them as a personal reminder — not a score.
You might give yourself Karma Points when you:
- Click on a Chance to support someone
- Read something that inspires you
- Take a moment to help, reflect, or care
No one is watching.
Nothing is stored permanently.
There is no comparison.
Why Karma Points Exist
Karma Points exist to encourage mindful action, not tracking.
They are:
- Trust-based
- Temporary
- Private
- Optional
They reflect the idea that kindness matters — even when no one sees it.
What Karma Points Are Not
- They are not saved across devices
- They are not attached to an account
- They are not ranked or displayed publicly
- They are not used to judge or measure anyone
If you clear your browser or use a different device, they reset — and that’s perfectly fine.
In Short
Karma Points are a quiet, personal reflection tool.
Use them if they feel helpful.
Ignore them if they don’t.
Kindness never requires a record.
