A poster on Fund My Travel has raised over $1500 but needs to reach her goal of $2000 in order to help volunteer at a wildlife rescue and conservation center in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She will be caring for wildlife native to Zimbabwe and southern Africa for 3 months. She will also participate in field surveys and conservation research. She is looking forward to volunteering with this program and meeting the local people, including working with schools to educate kids about wildlife and conservation. Additionally, she will have the opportunity to travel to Victoria Falls and other locations in Zimbabwe.
For the past year, she has worked full-time and taken on temporary jobs in order to save as much money as possible for this trip, as she has to cover the cost of the program (housing and food for 3 months), airline tickets, and other travel expenses. The opportunity to pursue both her passions of traveling and caring for animals while also helping animals in need will be a life-changing experience for her.
