Give with confidence

Check before you give.

Chances.org points to other websites. We can’t verify every person or cause, so please take a moment to look for yourself before you donate.

Look for a real connection. The organizer should explain who they are and how they know the person being helped.
Check where the money goes. On fundraisers, see who receives the funds. For charities, look them up on the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search or Charity Navigator.
Watch for pressure. Be careful with urgent demands, gift cards, wire transfers, or requests to pay outside a trusted platform.
When unsure, share instead. Spreading the word is a free and safe way to help.
