Human Rights Watch: Investigating Abuses Around the World

Human Rights Watch is an independent international organization that investigates human rights abuses around the world, from the treatment of civilians in war to the rights of refugees, children, women, workers, and people with disabilities. Its researchers, lawyers, and journalists document what's happening on the ground and publish detailed reports.

The group uses that evidence to press governments, armed groups, and businesses to change their policies and hold abusers accountable. To protect its independence, it doesn't accept money from governments.
