Once you have identified the potential consequences of a decision, it is time to weigh the benefits against the possible negative outcomes. Reflect on the following aspects as you evaluate each chance:
How significant are the potential benefits of taking this chance? Are they worth the associated risks?
Are there alternative options that might offer similar benefits with fewer risks?
Do the potential negative outcomes outweigh the possible benefits?
As you compare the potential benefits and risks, remember that there is rarely a perfect solution. Life is often about making trade-offs and finding the best balance between pursuing opportunities and managing risks. By carefully considering the potential consequences and weighing the benefits against the possible negative outcomes, you can make better-informed decisions that align with your values and priorities.
Ultimately, assessing the risks associated with life’s chances empowers you to make choices that can lead to personal growth, new experiences, and a more fulfilling life. Embrace the process of risk assessment as an essential component of navigating the ever-changing landscape of life’s opportunities.
Chances.org has been run by one volunteer, me, since 1999. Here's how you can help keep it going.

Hello, it's me, Amelia Carrie. I have been running and updating Chances.org since 1999, for free. I pay for the software, hosting, maintenance, apps, and more. That's more than 25 years of my life devoted to doing something I love.
However, the fact is that I am a senior now and due to having to compete with AI for computer graphics work, I can no longer afford to run this site on my own. I need your help, not only to keep it online, but to keep it growing. That's why I am updating Chances.org with a Donate button and a Sponsors page. Any extra money will be donated towards some of the chances needed ads on this site.
If you can't afford either, you can still help for free by using the sharing buttons below. Thank you!
With gratitude,
Amelia Carrie
For investors and dreamers: If you are an investor with the means to help Chances.org grow as big as Change.org or GoFundMe, please write to me at ChancesCharity@Gmail.com.
And if you have great plans and ambition, I may even let you take this site over, because everybody deserves a chance.
You can't have change without chances!
Since 1999, Chances.org has been dedicated to sharing hope, inspiration, and positive connections. Your gentle support helps keep our interactive tools free and accessible for everyone.
