Chances appear in random order to help different people get seen.
Let curiosity lead
Take a chance on someone new.
Sometimes the most meaningful connection is the one you weren’t looking for. Pick a mystery chance and see where it takes you.
A hand up through online support
There’s more than one way to give.
You don’t need money to make a difference. Your attention, encouragement, and connections can help someone take their next step.
Ideas for giving someone a chance
- Watch and subscribe: Enjoy a creator’s video and follow if you’d like to see more.
- Help a small business: Visit an Etsy shop and share it with a friend who would love their work.
- Open a door: Share someone’s LinkedIn profile with a potential employer.
- Stand behind a cause: Read a petition and sign if you support its purpose.
- Spread the word: Share a GoFundMe or Kickstarter campaign you believe in.
- Give encouragement: Leave an honest, thoughtful comment on someone’s work.
Need a chance? Here’s what to post.
Tell people what you’re creating, building, or hoping to achieve. Ask for one simple online action that would help.
For example: “I’ve opened an Etsy shop. Please share it with someone who enjoys handmade gifts.” Or: “I’m building a gardening channel. Watch a video and subscribe if you enjoy it.”
Posting is free. Post for yourself, someone you care about, a charity, or a cause. Requests should be for online support-visits, shares, follows, signatures, feedback, or connections. You may ask people to share your fundraiser, but not ask for money directly in your listing.
How we care for this community
Listings are reviewed before publication, but the people and claims behind them are not independently verified. Only approved platform links are allowed. Personal phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, and payment details are not permitted in listings.
Chance links take you to other websites. If a listing is no longer active or looks suspicious, please let us know and include its title or link. Keep your support thoughtful, honest, and kind.
A little encouragement for you, too
Pick a daily chance card.
An invitation to reflect, help someone, try something new, or simply pause and breathe. See where chance leads you.
The Wall of Chances
Kindness is worth sharing.
What chance did you give someone today? A small act, a helping hand, a moment of encouragement-your story may inspire the next one.

An optional way to do a little more
The Give a Chance Fund
You can always give someone a chance for free. If you’d also like to contribute financially, this fund supports people and causes from our Chances Needed directory.
I personally choose fundraisers from the directory and contribute to them.
